Acting as a support function to Financial Analysts by implementing the following tasks:

  • Managing and editing the grammatical content of our research team which includes company profile write-ups, news bulletins and financial commentary.
  • Providing key inputs to improve the content of our research reports.
  • Check text to ensure it is well written and logically structured.
  • Correct grammar and spelling.
  • Ensure the text is inline with ANALEC's 'house style'.
  • Check facts and raise queries with the author.
  • Improving the oral and writing skills of our team by holding training sessions and active feedback.

Skill Set Requirements:

The skills essential for this job are as follows:

  • Understanding of basic financial terminologies and research process.
  • Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar.
  • A meticulous approach to their work and an eye for detail.

Job Title: Analyst

Job Description:

  • Produce the daily Economy for Green Package as part of the Economy team.  Ensure the reliable and timely delivery of the GP Economy, which provides the critical information and starting point for all of GP Production.
  • Develop knowledge of various capital markets data and uses in BLK systems to assess the impact of data changes on downstream processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure economic data and derived information sets within the economy process meet BlackRock highest quality standards for FX, APAC, EMEA and AMRS Economies.
  • Help evaluate and troubleshoot the current process and recommend changes to automate and improve quality control.
  • Build strong working partnerships with internal groups (Portfolio Management, Portfolio Analytics, Financial Modeling, technology teams, others) and meet changing demands.
  • Work with Production, Implementation and Engineering (PIE) team on implementing new (non-economy) processes and improving existing ones.

Job Requirements:

  • Post Graduate or B. Com. Graduate with 2-4 years of experience in capital market/ financial services-back office industry
  • Experience in  improvement efforts for financial information, operational or risk systems
  • Good analytical skills and systems knowledge

The following are a “plus”:

  • Proven success at articulating, documenting, optimizing processes
  • Programming experience
  • CFA or similar proof of understanding of finance Produce and quality control the Green Package for all internal and external clients.

Shift work required?  Yes – Will have to work US hours. 5 day weekly.
