  • Develop and manage a dashboard for reporting on key financial metrics and indices pertaining to investee companies

Job Title: Assistant Manager – Regulatory Controller

Typical output is the calculation of Credit Risk Exposure, Risk Weighted Asset and Expected Loss amounts under the UK Financial Service Authority (Basel 2) rules, pertaining to the exposures of Bank’s Asian operations.

The role will be to ensure the data is produced in a timely manner to meet timetables set by ASP FIN and to a high standard of quality. This role will require:

  • A high level of technical ability to design, execute and analyze complex reporting processes.
  • Critically review the quality of the output of the team, and drive performance of the team to meet required standards and timeframes.
  • Ensure a strong control environment and control processes are in place and monitored.
  • Strong project management, planning and communication skills. The role will frequently interact with colleagues from ASP FIN in Hong Kong and other Finance teams across Asia.
  • It will also require strength in ‘managing upwards’ to senior finance managers, ensuring that issues are raised in a comprehensive and timely manner, and creating and implementing solutions to issues.

Build a comprehensive understanding of the Basel Capital rules to the extent they pertain to reports generated, and share that knowledge with the team.

Skills Required

  • CFA / FRM with CA or MBA from a reputed business school, with specialisation in Finance
  • Strong communication skills, including experience of explaining complex technical matters simply and succinctly
