How "Cor" function is different from "vif" function

Postby kbhargavrr » Thu Feb 18, 2016 9:49 am

Hi, can anyone tell me what exactly the difference between correlation function "cor" and "vif" function in R. As earlier one tells us about the correlation between independent variables and later one gives multicollinearity information among them.

What exactly the difference between these two? and how they differ each other and when they come into picture?
