### Re: Normal Distribution

Due to space constraints I could n't upload the soln,
16% negative implied 84% positive values
Out of these 84% values mean comes at 50% or 34% to the right of zero...
34% area therefore corresponds to "10"
51% should correspond to "15" approx
i.e. 25 to the right of zero...thus this "25" should be close to the extreme value on the right of distribution...
Hence,mu+3*sigma=25
(99.73% values lie within MU+-3* sigma)
mu=10
sigma=5 (approx)
Hence, Coeff of varn = S.D./mu = 50%

@Content Pristine: plz correct me If I am wrong.
If the answer is correct and soln is not clear I can mail you with "attachment"

### Re: Normal Distribution

Suppose in the same question it was given that 10% of the values are negative and it ws asked to calc CV,then?

40% area corresponds to 1.25 standard deviations
So , 1.25 standard deviations = 10

Can I use unitary method and say 1 standard deviation = 8

I have a feeling that unitary method cannot be used.
