exam paper pattern

Please let me know, In FRM exam paper, whether question can be asked from outside the syllabus specified in Garp Core Reading?? Because in Garp Practice paper of 2008 there are lot of question are from outside the syllabus specified. Like question based on barrier option ,interest only strip etc and many other theoritical question which has not been given in core reading.

Hi Amit,

The syllabus has changed drastically since 2008. Your preparation should contain 2011-2012 material to ensure there are no unrelated questions.
The core readings are all inclusive. However, this should not be confused with the FRM Handbook by Philip Joriun. The Handbook is not updated to the current syllabus.
