ACCA F1 Exam Format

ACCA F1 Paper is the first paper of the fundamentals level module. It aims to introduce knowledge and understanding of the business and its environment and its influence on Organizational structure and on the role of the accounting and other key business functions in contributing to the efficient, effective and ethical management and development of an organization and its people and systems. Paper F1 Accountant in Business (AB) focusses on understanding the business environment and role of accountants in organizations.

For those who wish to gain a diploma in accounting and business, this is one of the three papers that a candidate must clear.

ACCA F1 paper can be taken either as a paper based exam or a computer based exam. The exam format of ACCA F1 paper takes into account the fact that the subject matter of the paper is the most fundamental knowledge expected of a professional accountant.

ACCA F1 Exam Format:

  • The F1 Paper contains 2 sections.

· Section A contains objective test questions (OTs)

  • Section B contains multi-task questions (MTQs)
  • The F1 Paper is of two hours duration.
  • Total marks is 100.
  • Passing marks is 50%
