CFA Exam Syllabus

The CFA Exam Syllabus is continuously updated by the CFA Institute to stay up to date with the changes happening in the finance world.

The Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) represents the core knowledge, skills, and abilities that are accepted and applied by investment professionals throughout the world. The syllabus of CFA exam is different for each level.

CFA Exam Syllabus – Level 1:

Focuses on a basic knowledge of the ten topic areas and simple analysis using investment tools. (more on syllabus for CFA Level 1)

CFA Exam Syllabus – Level 2:

Emphasizes application of investment tools and concepts with a focus on valuation of all types of assets. (more on syllabus for CFA Level 2)

CFA Exam Syllabus – Level 3:

Focuses on synthesizing all of the concepts and analytical methods in a variety of applications for effective portfolio management and wealth planning. (more on syllabus for CFA Level 3)
