The CFA institute membership is a symbol of highest standards of investment professionals. It demonstrates the quality knowledge, skill sets and abilities to cater the investment analysis and decision-making process.
In order to become a charter holder, you must become the member of The CFA Institute and a local CFA society. A periodic renewal of The CFA Institute Membership is required to keep the CFA designation active.
The CFA Institute membership comes with various benefits like:
Becoming a part of a globalized network of more than 110,000 investment professionals with professional expertise and ethics
Having access to latest investment researches, financial publications, specialized career services and education resources.
Various member discounts at global events organized by CFA Institute
The CFA Institute offers two categories of membership, namely, regular and affiliate. The CFA candidates who enroll for the CFA program and wish to gain CFA Charter must apply for the regular membership. The affiliate membership is offered to the investment professionals. They are not required to enroll for the CFA program and pursue CFA Charter.
Regular membership is advised for the candidates who enroll for the CFA Program and cleared CFA Level 1 exam. Regular membership is necessary to become a CFA Charterholder.
Affiliate membership is advised for the investment professionals who do not plan to enroll for the CFA program or for the candidates who are not yet eligible for regular membership. The benefits of an affiliate membership and regular membership are same, but the affiliate members cannot be awarded a CFA Charter and may not cast their votes on CFA institute Proxies. Society membership is must to become an affiliate member of the CFA Institute.
