About COURSE

The United States Medical Licensure Examination (USMLE) is a three step examination for those seeking postgraduate training and licensure in the United States. The USMLE Step 1 is the first in the series of the USMLE exam conducted by the FSMB (Federation of State Medical Boards) and NBME (National Board of Medical Examiners). Becker has partnered with EduPristine in India to offer the most up-to-date curriculum and materials that will aid you in your preparation for the USMLE.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE USMLE:

1. In order to be eligible to take the USMLE exams, one must qualify in any one of the 3 categories mentioned below:

  • A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US or Canadian medical school program leading to the MD degree that is accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).
  • A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a medical school outside the United States and Canada and eligible for examination by the ECFMG. International Medical graduates must ensure that their medical school is listed on WDOMS to be eligible to take the USMLE exams.
  • A medical student officially enrolled in, or a graduate of, a US medical school leading to the DO degree that is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA)

2. There are no retakes if you pass the USMLE Exam. Once a student passes the exam, the score is valid for a period of 7 years and he cannot retake the exam within this period to improve his score.

3. The maximum number of attempts at an exam is 6. The exam cannot be taken more than 3 times within a 12month period.
