Now that the results for FRM Exam 2009 are out, we are sure that you have a lot to say about your experiences (perhaps good, perhaps bad)! But it is done with and you must not regret anything. As long as you have learnt from your successes and mistakes, then the way forward is clear. Now you know what it is that you must to do to crack the exam.
Last year, we had conducted interviews of students clearing the exam to know their mantra of success. This year, we have been getting a lot of calls from students and I must say that the results have been quite encouraging.
The most common lessons that have been learnt:
– To crack the exam, make sure that you apportion your time as per the weight of the topic. For example, too much time should not go into a single topic (Typically hypothesis testing/ Bayes’ theorem)
– There are some questions which are long and tough to crack. They should not bog you down. Keep moving is the mantra to success.
– Instead of reading through a lot of theory, do a lot of questions (and practice questions of the last few years). That really helps greatly!
We are sure that you have found your own mantra to success. You know what to do and what not to in order to ace the exam!
We will be conducting similar interviews this year as well. In the meanwhile, we encourage you to share your experiences so that people who will be going forward with FRM can benefit from it as well!
All the best!
