The Financial Risk Manager® (FRM®) program is administered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals® (GARP®), USA.
EduPristine's training program for FRM® certification empowers students to establish a robust conceptual groundwork, allowing them to excel in the field of Finance and Risk Management. The FRM® certification, which is globally recognized and administered by the Global Association of Risk Professionals® (GARP®, USA), is considered a significant professional milestone for banking and finance professionals.
The acronym FRM® refers to Financial Risk Manager®, a comprehensive course that covers all aspects of Risk Management in detail. The Global Association of Risk Professionals® (GARP®) administers and awards the Financial Risk Manager®designation. The requirement for professionals with FRM® certification is in great demand across all industries due to the increasing necessity for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
By providing training in informed risk decision-making, the FRM® course equips candidates with the necessary expertise to excel in risk management practices and stand out within their organizations. The Global Association of Risk Professionals® (GARP®) offers the FRM® course in 195 countries and territories, with a membership of over 279,000 professionals. GARP® also provides a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program that enables risk professionals to stay up to date with the latest advancements in risk education.
The FRM® Course exam does not require any minimum eligibility criteria, and even undergraduate students (in their final year of graduation) are eligible to appear for the FRM® Part I exam.
However, there are specific requirements to obtain the Financial Risk Manager® certification. Candidates must clear both the Part I and Part II exams of the FRM® course, possess at least two years of relevant work experience, and hold active fellow membership in GARP®.
The duration required to complete both exams of the FRM® course depends on the candidate's dedication and focus, with a minimum of one year typically required.
After passing the FRM® Exam Part II, a candidate has up to five years to submit their work experience. Failing to complete this step within the specified timeframe will require the candidate to re-enroll in the program, pay all applicable fees, and retake both the FRM® Exam Part I and the FRM® Exam Part II.
