CFAÂ® exam details:
CFAÂ® course is divided into three levels- Level I CFA exam, Level II CFA exam, and Level III CFA exam. To obtain the charter, candidates must pass all consecutive levels of the course. The CFAÂ® level I exam is divided into two parts, i.e., the morning session and the afternoon session. Every part consists of a 2 hours 15 minutes examination that includes 90 multiple choice questions each. That means the total duration of the Level I CFA exam is 4 hours 30 minutes and has a total of 180 multiple choice questions to be answered. These questions are based on the level I learning outcome statements as required by the CFA Institute.
CFAÂ® exam Registration Process:
The CFA Institute offers the level I CFA exam four times a year, in February, May, August, and November, at their test centers located around the globe. To take the exam, a candidate must be enrolled on CFA Institute websites and register for the exam. Early registrations are often offered at a discounted price, whereas the candidate has to pay more for the standard registration timeline.

The CFAÂ® Level I syllabus focuses on the basic knowledge of the ten topic areas and simple analysis using investment tools. It is designed to introduce the candidate to the various concepts of the finance and investment world.
